POWER Engineers Acquires Enron’s TDEC Division
POWER Engineers, Inc. has announced its acquisition of the assets of T&D Engineering & Construction (TDEC) of Portland, Oregon, from Enron Engineering & Construction Company. POWER Engineers will retain TDEC’s Portland office and approximately 25 employees specializing in transmission and distribution engineering services for electric power systems.
POWER Engineers now has 550 employees in nine office locations across the United States.
“With this acquisition, we significantly improve our capability to serve a growing base of clients nationwide,” said Bill Eisinger, POWER’s Transmission & Distribution division manager. “This group of very experienced engineers and designers from TDEC expands our senior-level expertise in our core service offerings.”
The Portland staff specializes primarily in substation engineering services with additional expertise in electrical system studies, overhead and underground distribution, transmission lines, hydroelectric generation and generation interconnections. The engineering personnel average 25 years of experience.
The Portland office is managed by Bill Thompson. Senior staff members include Don Evans, project management; Bob VanBishler, civil/structural engineering; and Dick Fay, Ray Meads, Luther Kurtz and Kermit Duncan, electrical engineering.
