POWER provided engineering support for a Dry Handling System Upgrade project. The scope of the project was to modify two silos that shared an existing common filling system so that each group would be filled by its own dedicated fill line. The project needed to have several divert valves be either removed or relocated and to add a new blow line. One day bin and two dust collectors were also installed.
POWER collected data on the existing system to modify the P&ID drawings, developed a control philosophy and provided in-house support design development in preparation for the final engineering phase.
Additionally POWER also provided CAD documentation for the existing bakery’s electrical distribution system. Site data was collected and verified of the general electrical system configuration. The data was compared to existing electrical diagrams and plans and developed into new CAD format drawings, serving as baseline reference documents to identify general power distribution and utilization, as well as the available physical space or spare breakers and starters.
POWER provided HMI and PLC code in support of the project and modified the existing software with required edits for the new dedicated truck unload and associated equipment. Onsite startup support and commissioning was provided, as well as construction support.
